An established HVAC products manufacturer is seeking a Service Manager responsible for efficient and profitable operations of the service department while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. In this job, you will report to the Managing Director.

About the Service Manager Role:
In this position, you will be accountable for managing all fiscal and operational activities efficiently within the department while organising and supervising all service activities across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, formulate and drive the development of the overall after sales services strategy and action plans for the service centre nationwide
• Ensure that processes and procedures concerning all service work performed by the service department are established so as to improve the operation quality and efficiency of the service department
• Be responsible for department budget, technical, spare parts, and customer service
• Develop SOPs for all service-related policies, systems and processes
• Manage and lead commissioning projects, coordinating with the team of technicians and installing contractors and performing pre-start inspections
• Work closely with branches to ensure sufficient inventory of spare parts at all times
• Be overall accountable for the KPIs and performance of all the service technician, technical support, spar parts and customer service personnel
• Review parts requirement, sourcing, and conduct negotiations with vendors
• Expand the network for spar part availability in the market through collaboration with the sales team
• Prepare weekly and monthly service centre performance reports
• Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with management
• Provide the direction and leadership required to achieve profitable and professional technical services at high-quality standards
• Develop and monitor the performance standards of the service department against planned objectives, reports from customers, the sales department and competitors

To be successful in this role, you must have prior service management experience, preferably within the HVAC industry.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or any related field of study
• Minimum of eight years of experience related to after-sales processes, preferably from the HVAC industry
• Prior knowledge with air conditioning products is ideal
• Experience in handling the installation and commissioning of HVAC equipment is an added advantage
• Strong systems set-up experience within the after-sales service department
• Prior spare parts planning and management is ideal
• Prior experience in managing and leading a team of geographically dispersed service personnel
• Experience in ERP and CRM is advantageous
• Proven technical knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
• Working knowledge of shop layout and workshop operations
• Analytical and with good business acumen
