Save job

A leading organisation in the Klang Valley is seeking a Continuous Improvement Senior Manager to champion transformative change and operational excellence across their manufacturing operations. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape and deliver Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies, drive impactful continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of collaboration and shared success.

What you'll do:

As a Continuous Improvement Senior Manager based in Klang Valley, you will play an instrumental role in driving operational transformation across the organisation’s manufacturing sites. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around implementing robust TPM frameworks that empower teams to achieve higher levels of efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. By monitoring key performance metrics, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and facilitating collaborative projects between departments, you will help create an environment where continuous learning and improvement are embedded into every aspect of production. Success in this role requires a genuine commitment to coaching others—your ability to provide tailored training sessions will be crucial in upskilling staff members and fostering a culture of shared achievement. You will also be responsible for preparing insightful reports for senior management while proactively addressing challenges that arise during programme delivery. This position offers you the chance to make a lasting impact on both operational outcomes and team development within a supportive network.

  • Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programmes and continuous improvement initiatives by establishing pillar structures and building related capabilities within the manufacturing environment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for assigned areas, ensuring regular follow-up actions are taken to maintain high standards of operational excellence.
  • Support cost reduction efforts and efficiency improvement projects by identifying opportunities for optimisation and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive training sessions and hands-on coaching to operational staff, helping them develop new skills and adopt best practices in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration by encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and joint problem-solving across departments.
  • Work closely with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment of improvement initiatives with organisational goals and priorities.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and reliability by embedding continuous improvement principles into daily operations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on progress of TPM implementation and continuous improvement activities for senior management review.
  • Identify barriers to successful programme delivery and proactively develop solutions that promote team engagement and positive outcomes.

What you bring:

To excel as a Continuous Improvement Senior Manager in this forward-thinking organisation, you will bring substantial experience from the manufacturing sector along with deep expertise in TPM implementation. Your background should reflect successful delivery of continuous improvement projects where you have worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses not only technical proficiency but also outstanding interpersonal skills—your ability to communicate clearly, coach others patiently, and manage stakeholder expectations will set you apart. Experience with Lean Six Sigma or 5S methodologies will further strengthen your application by demonstrating your commitment to process excellence. Above all else, your approach should be rooted in empathy; understanding the needs of different teams allows you to foster an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels supported in their growth journey. Your proven capacity for analytical thinking ensures that you can interpret complex data sets while remaining sensitive to the human side of change management.

  • Minimum five years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment where you have demonstrated your ability to deliver results through continuous improvement programmes.
  • Proven track record in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies that have led to measurable enhancements in operational performance.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or 5S methodologies is considered an added advantage for driving process optimisation.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships across multiple levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to effectively train, coach, and influence colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical abilities for interpreting performance data and identifying actionable insights for improvement.
  • Capacity for empathetic leadership that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support among team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and reliability throughout all aspects of manufacturing operations.
