Our client is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to join their dynamic team in Penang, Malaysia. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives on defining, designing and implementing process improvements through Lean Six Sigma methodology. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across the organisation, aligning with business strategies and priorities.
What you'll do:
As an Operational Excellence Manager, your role will be pivotal in leading operation/engineering teams to evaluate and enhance manufacturing methods. Your expertise will be crucial in developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods. You will also manage a Lean Six Sigma Manager to ensure that the LSS Development Plan is well executed.
- Lead operation/engineering teams to evaluate and enhance manufacturing methods
- Utilise knowledge of production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods
- Ensure cost effective designs and carry out research, design and development work of the manufacturing processes
- Manage Lean Six Sigma Manager to ensure that the LSS Development Plan is well executed
- Partner with counterparts from global sites to maintain copy exact process between factories
- Establish and create continuous audit of factory processes and equipment to ensure compliance to the established copy exact checklist
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Operational Excellence Manager should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in plant audit with understanding of Process/Equipment or Quality Engineering in microelectronic components, semiconductor, and/or PCB assembly. Good oral and written communication skills are essential for this role and statistical analysis.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in any technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and production industry with experiences in operational excellence
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience in Copy Exact operating philosophy is an advantage
- Willingness to frequently travel domestically and internationally
