A leading personal care company is seeking a CI Manager to be responsible for improving production processes and documentation while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. In this job, you will report to the Plant Manager.
About the CI Manager Role: In this position, you will take the leadership role in providing strategic support in the development, deployment, and management of strategic initiatives to develop and enhance the operation effectiveness of the plant operations.
Provide visionary leadership in the development and execution of comprehensive continuous improvement strategies aligned with organisational goals
Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements across various functions
Lead and mentor a team of CI professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings
Utilise Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and optimise resource utilisation
Ensure that the production process is efficient, cost-effective, and produces high-quality products within the specified timeframe
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of continuous improvement initiatives
Develop training materials for Lean processes and principles to ensure front-line operators adhere to the company's Lean standards
Conduct training sessions and workshops to build CI capabilities across the organisation
Drive a culture of change management, ensuring effective communication and employee engagement throughout the CI journey
Collaborate with regional and global CI leaders to share best practices and ensure alignment with industry standards
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 10 years of process improvement experience within the FMCG manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field in manufacturing
Minimum of 15 years of work experience in the FMCG manufacturing environment, with at least 10 years dedicated to continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, i.e., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, TPM
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Must have strong people management, leadership and presentation skills
Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to getting the job done
An innovative mindset to develop new insights into organisation improving solutions
A strong knowledge of analysis methods involving the measure of process capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
