Regional ESH Manager

Are you a seasoned professional in Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) seeking an exciting leadership role? We are looking for a dedicated Regional ESH Manager to join our team in Johor within the dynamic industrial sector.

What You’ll Do

As the Regional ESH Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating a sustainable ESH culture across the APAC manufacturing network while ensuring compliance with Malaysian and regional regulations. Your key responsibilities include:

• Champion and instill a visible, values-driven ESH leadership culture throughout operations.
• Collaborate closely with Operations Leadership Teams and Plant Managers to integrate ESH accountability into daily decision-making processes.
• Develop, implement, and oversee regional ESH strategies aligned with global frameworks and manufacturing priorities.
• Balance hands-on engagement with strategic thinking to anticipate long-term risks effectively.
• Ensure adherence to Malaysian and APAC ESH regulations, including OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, Environmental Quality Act, and related legislation.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and local councils
• Conduct regular site visits, operational risk assessments, and ESH audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

What You’ll Bring

We’re seeking an experienced leader who combines technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills to drive impactful change across diverse teams. The ideal candidate will have:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH (Green Book holder).
• At least 10–12 years of experience managing ESH programs in a manufacturing environment with multi-site or regional scope.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian ESH regulations and enforcement practices along with familiarity with APAC countries’ regulations.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive change without direct authority in multinational organizations.

• Strong leadership presence with excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels effectively.
• Strategic thinker capable of balancing regulatory compliance with operational realities while driving execution beyond mere adherence to standards.
• High integrity coupled with resilience when navigating complex challenges.
