What you'll do:

As Facility Manager, you will play an integral part in shaping the day-to-day running of the organisation’s physical infrastructure. Your role will involve close collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure every aspect of the facility operates smoothly. From overseeing maintenance schedules to managing complex renovation projects, you will be responsible for upholding high standards across all areas. Your ability to foster teamwork and provide constructive feedback will help create an environment where everyone feels supported. By focusing on compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and efficient resource allocation, you will contribute directly to the company’s operational success. Your attention to detail combined with strategic oversight will ensure that both immediate needs and long-term objectives are achieved.

  • Take responsibility for the general upkeep and maintenance of buildings, guaranteeing adherence to health and safety standards as well as all relevant legal obligations.
  • Liaise proactively with equipment suppliers, local authorities, environmental agencies, safety regulators, and utility providers to ensure full compliance with technical matters.
  • Identify resource requirements for operational activities, ensuring that staffing levels and materials are always sufficient to support smooth facility operations.
  • Manage scheduled waste disposal processes in strict accordance with legal requirements while maintaining accurate records and adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Supervise building projects including renovations or refurbishments, coordinating contractors and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Develop, motivate, and nurture team members by providing direct feedback and fostering a culture where everyone can perform to their full potential within a 'Safety First' framework.
  • Be accountable for the successful implementation of all activities within the facility’s scope of work, ensuring quality objectives are met alongside key performance indicators.
  • Monitor budgets related to facility operations closely, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or compliance.
  • Champion environmental sustainability initiatives by ensuring best practices are followed in energy usage, waste management, and chemical handling.

What you bring:
