Sustainability Manager (Palm Industry)

What you'll do:

As a Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's approach to sustainability. You will act as a change agent, nurturing a culture of responsible business and sustainability within the organisation. Your excellent planning, organising, coordination skills will be put to good use as you develop, implement and review policies as well as Sustainability Reporting Frameworks that support the Group’s Environmental objectives. You will also conduct internal training programs on environmental issues and policies, ensuring all staff are informed and engaged.

• Act as a change agent to nurture responsible business and sustainability culture.
• Develop, implement and review Policies as well as Sustainability Reporting Frameworks.
• Conduct internal training programs on environmental issues and policies.
• Coordinate with all operating units to embed environmental sustainability in organisational culture.
• Liaise closely with relevant departments in the compilation and verification of environmental data.
• Communicate sustainability initiatives to all employees.
• Conduct research on current Sustainability issues.
• Establish a strong network with sustainability practitioners, professionals, consultants, government agencies.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sustainability Manager position will bring a wealth of knowledge in Environmental Science or Sustainable Development. With at least 5 years of experience in Sustainability, particularly within the oil palm industry, you understand the importance of sustainable practices. Your ability to plan, implement and deliver Sustainability Environmental Programs like climate change initiatives sets you apart. Your analytical skills allow you to interpret data effectively, while your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to communicate complex ideas clearly.

• Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience in Sustainability, preferably with oil palm industry
• Knowledge of sustainability management.
• Ability to plan, implement and deliver Sustainability Environmental Programs.
• Ability to analyse data and information.
• Excellent planning, organising, coordination skills.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
• Understanding of SBTi and the GHG Protocol are plus points.
