What you’ll do

As an Engineering Manager (O&G), you will play a critical role in driving success across all stages of oil and gas operations—from exploration to production. You will lead project teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, manage budgets and schedules, and optimize operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:

• Spearheading project management efforts from conception to completion while ensuring adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
• Overseeing engineering activities by reviewing technical documentation from contractors to ensure alignment with project specifications, international standards, and safety protocols.
• Providing technical guidance across survey, drilling, development, and operational phases, including on-site supervision of drilling and maintenance activities.
• Managing the resolution of technical challenges in collaboration with specialized experts.
• Supervising day-to-day operations and maintenance of oil & gas rigs, FPSOs, and processing plants for optimal performance.
• Ensuring strict compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Leading engineering teams while fostering collaboration among cross-functional groups and external stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

To thrive as our Engineering Manager (O&G) in Kuala Lumpur, you’ll need extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and technical expertise. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 20 years of professional experience in the oil & gas sector, including 15+ years managing large offshore projects such as rigs or floaters.
• Proven leadership capabilities to guide teams through complex projects under high-pressure conditions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations within the oil & gas industry.
• Strong analytical skills for optimizing processes and solving technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
