About the R&D & Quality Manager Role:
In this R&D & Quality Manager role, you will be responsible for quality assurance improvement, quality assurance workflow management and research and development for the manufacturing of dairy products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, run and record experiments of new raw material, products, and process with results in accordance with research and development specifications and safety procedures
• Research and establish methods to improve formulas and quality of product such as flavour, colour, texture and nutritional value
• Take on the role of Food Safety Team Leader, ensuring the validity of GMP certification
• Ensure routine internal audits are conducted and findings are communicated to management team
• Be aware of areas in the system that pose a high level of risk and develop solutions to mitigate the risk
• Systematically respond to any breach in food safety compliance
• Provide technical advise on microbiology or chemical test parameters for new or existing products when needed
• Provide technical support when there is a customer enquiry on product specification, export documents or if there is a complaint
• Periodically review current compliance to company food safety policy and make updates if necessary

To succeed in this R&D & Quality Manager role, you will need to have solid knowledge and background in research and development and quality assurance in the dairies manufacturing industry. You should have a genuine interest in food science research and food safety.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in food science, food technology, or related field of study
• At least 10 years of quality assurance and R&D experience in the food manufacturing industry
• Well versed in HALAL, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP and FSSC 22000 certifications
• High accountability and ownership to drive closure of action items
• Able to lead changes, a self-starter and able to inspire others
• Highly organised, process driven and analytical in problem solving
• Has a positive approach, self-motivated, a team player and possess high level of integrity
