What you’ll do
As the Estate Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to oversee the management of sizable durian plantations across Malaysia and the overseas market. You will be responsible for all aspects of plantation management, from the early stages of land preparation to the thriving growth of mature durian trees. You will collaborate with senior management and travel independently to ensure progress and compliance with local authorities.
- Oversee the management of durian plantations in Malaysia and beyond
- Lead the germination and planting processes in new markets
- Coordinate land acquisition, evaluation, clearance, and preparation
- Implement effective nursery and grafting practices for durian saplings
- Develop and manage manuring programs across different growth phases
- Address pest and disease management to ensure healthy crop yield
- Regular travel to oversee plantation operations and liaise with authorities
What you’ll bring
You are an expert in estate management with a strong background in durian plantation and plant physiology. Your experience spans the entire plantation cycle, from land acquisition to pest management, and you are comfortable working in remote locations with frequent travel. Your skills in agronomy and estate management will drive the success of this new and expanding team.
