What you'll do:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of Mechanical Design activities. You'll be generating conceptual and detailed drawings for machines, performing subsystem hardware integration, and following up on fabricated parts. Your role will also involve ensuring that BOM & drawings are updated with the latest revisions. You'll liaise with suppliers on special or urgent requests and plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from conception to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers will be crucial to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Generate conceptual & detailed drawings for machines
- Perform subsystem hardware integration on the machine
- Follow up on fabricated parts as well as standard parts
- Ensure BOM (Build of Material) & drawings are updated with the latest revision
- Liaise on special / urgent requests from suppliers
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical projects from conception to completion
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Mechanical Design Engineer role will bring a strong foundation in engineering knowledge and practices. You should possess a degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronic Engineering or a related field and have at least 3 years experience in automation design. Proficiency in using SolidWorks for mechanical design & documentation is essential. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are required to effectively engage with stakeholders. The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment while managing multiple priorities is crucial.
