A leading manufacturer of kitchen and electric appliances is seeking an Assistant Technical Manager to manage the shared service call centre for both Singapore and Malaysia on repair, service and quality ensuring the resolution of technical matters. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

About the Assistant Technical Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the call centre by ensuring the smooth operation of after-sales service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Shared Service Centre call centre for both Singapore and Malaysia, including overseeing a team of technicians, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and coordinating with other departments to resolve technical issues
• Assist in project tender participation by providing technical expertise and support
• Plan work schedules for technicians to ensure that all customer repairs and services are completed on time and efficiently
• Coordinate between various departments on technical issues to ensure that all customers receive the best possible service
• Train and recruit new technicians as and when necessary
• Be responsible for the after-sales department's P&L and KPI, including setting targets, tracking performance, and reporting results to the Technical Manager
• Manage spare parts inventory, forecast and purchase requisition
• Manage product safety approval

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills and be able to work cross-functionally with all other departments internally and externally.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Five years of technical experience, preferably in the electric appliance manufacturing industry
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of home and kitchen appliances
• Able to supervise technicians and handle the full scope of repairs and servicing
• Excellent communication with customers on technical matters
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong leadership and communication skills
