Electrical Design Engineer

What you'll do:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing control drawings specifically for equipment connections. Your expertise in creating bills of material for electrical panels and components will be highly valued. You will perform LV electrical systems control design, making calculations for electrical sizing based on customer requirements and international regulatory standards. Your input will be vital in maintaining and improving existing designs to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, and improve quality. Working closely with commissioning teams, you will ensure the proper testing and validation of installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems. Your role will also involve travelling to sites for reviews, providing engineering evaluations, conducting electrical systems audits, and assisting with startups.

• Design control drawing specifically electrical diagrams for equipment connection
• Create bills of material for electrical panels and components
• Perform LV electrical systems control design, calculations electrical sizing based on customer requirements and international regulatory standards such as UL/IEC/IEEE/AS/NZS
• Maintain and make recommendations to improve existing designs to assist in manufacturability, reduce cost, and improve quality
• Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems
• Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Electrical Design Engineer position holds at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent. You bring valuable experience in electrical schematic diagram using Electrical CAD software. With 1-3 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical design or related fields under your belt, you are ready to take on new challenges. You are a self-motivated individual who can work independently, but also a problem solver who thrives in a team environment. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills will be key in this role, and your ability to communicate effectively in English is essential. Any leadership experience you have will certainly add value to our team.

• Minimum of a Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent
• Experience in electrical schematic diagram using Electrical CAD software preferred
• 1-3 years experience with industrial or commercial electrical design or related fields
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
• Problem solver who works well within a team organized
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Verbal and written communication skills in English required
• Leadership experience adds value
