What you'll do:
As a Site Engineer specialising in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in managing daily workshop activities. Your responsibilities will extend from maintaining high standards of housekeeping to ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols. You will also be expected to maintain a high level of workmanship while identifying areas for improvement. Your role will involve providing quality customer service, taking responsibility for equipment and plant in your area, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day workshop activities including own workload, labour and material handling
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and general tidiness of the working environment
- Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Maintain a high level of workmanship, identifying areas for improvement
- Promote a strong Health & Safety and Quality focus at all times
- Complete time sheets in a legible format with accurate details
- Provide quality customer service, including interacting with customers and handling complaints
- Take responsibility for equipment and plant in your area, focusing on continuous improvement
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Site Engineer position will have completed an apprenticeship or hold qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. You should demonstrate leadership attributes, excellent communication skills, and competency in Microsoft packages. Your ability to inspire and train less qualified team members will be highly valued. A strong focus on Health & Safety and Quality is essential for this role.
