An exciting Test Engineer job based in Kulim, Kedah has just become available at a multinational world leading manufacturing and production company. This role is part of the pioneer team focusing on test yield for all test station and test equipment.

About the Test Engineer Role:
As part of the geographical expansion and to support the growth in the Asian market, this role is responsible for both in-circuit test and functional test, test equipment maintenance, and test process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for test yield for all test station such as ICT and FCT
• Responsible for test equipment downtime
• Plan test equipment preventive maintenance and ensure it executes according to plan
• Responsible to debug all test failure boards and minimise hard-core scrap
• Support test quote request based on RFQ process
• Participates in new product development to make sure testability is designed into new products
• Determines the test process and develops test specs/procedures based on that process
• Provide technical support to failure analysis for RMA related to test failure
• Involve DFT study for all new products and prototyping activities
• Determine test process requirements from product specifications

To succeed in this Test Engineer role, you must have the ability to work on your own initiative and possess a keen understanding of the full spectrum of test engineering.

Key Requirements:

• Degree calibre level in electronics or related disciplines with four to six years' related experiences
• Good knowledge in PCB trouble shooting and failure analysis
• Hands-on experiences in HP3070 Tester including hardware maintenance and software program is preferred
• Hands-on experience in TAKAYA is an added advantage
• Good knowledge on functional test in hardware and software
• Ability to handle conference call with customer related to test product technical issue
• Knowledge/experience of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S is an advantage
