An exciting AM, Treasury Ops Services job has just become available at a respected global law firms based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is for someone with treasury operations background from a financial institution who is looking for growth.

About the AM, Treasury Ops Services Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing transaction processing as well as department activities and ensure that the required tasks are completed within the expected time frame and operations are carried out in accordance to operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and guide subordinates in terms of operational processes, skills and technical know-how in order to improve the staff productivity and to maintain consistency in operational support and delivery
• Support multiple countries in the APAC region and must be open to working on public holidays or following the country hours
• Manage end-to-end daily transaction processing and/or authorisation of operational actions as well as department activities to ensure accurate and efficient and in compliance to the internal controls/policies to mitigate any material operational risks that may result in operational failure/fraudulent activities
• Manage day-to-day support and advice for the department of any transactional activities
• Manage the defect and/or complaint management processes
• Manage and review operating procedures

To succeed in this AM, Treasury Ops Services role, you must be able to promote accountability and transparency, promote a sound compliance culture which reinforces ethical, prudent and professional behaviour.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in processing foreign exchange and money market transactions (backend) as well as performing treasury deals verifications and confirmation of interbank trades/customer transactions, derivatives, internal deals, forex (Spot, SWAP, etc.)
• Must also be able to operate and maintain RENTAS and SWIFT Systems to ensure all payments are transmitted on a timely basis. Must be able to handle NOSTRO cash flow
• Must be open to working on public holidays or following the country hours
• At least five years of relevant experience in treasury operations (backend) and banking operations
• Basic knowledge of statutory requirements and/or related rules
• Meticulous, good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experienced leading a team is preferred
