About the Head of Risk Management role:

In this business critical role, you will oversee the Risk Management Function within the business and cover all necessary reporting oversight of Operational Risk, Market Risk and Credit Risk.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate frameworks and methodologies for the effective management of enterprise wide risk in the Bank, in order to protect and enhance shareholders / stakeholders value
• Participate in the Bank’s overall business strategy and the discussion of the appropriate risk appetite in organised and ad hoc basis, risk committee meetings
• Ensure appropriate and effective procedures are in place and that such processes and qualities adhere to the compliance standards
• Ensure timely and effective communications of all key risk issues, trends and information identified during the course of the bank’s operation to all internal stakeholders

To succeed in the Head, Risk Management job, you need to maintain regular communication and liaison with audit and compliance functions and exchange views on risk based compliance plan and audit programs.

Key requirements:

• Degree from a reputable university
• Strong risk management experience gained in the banking industry
• Islamic banking product knowledge is necessary
• Strong ability to organise and plan strategically
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
