An exciting Private Equity Investment Analyst job has just become available at a renowned private equity firm based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Private Equity Investment Analyst Role:
In this position, you will play a role in all aspects of the investment process including origination, screening, due diligence, valuation and modelling, deal execution, portfolio management and exits.

This position will give you excellent exposure into investments abroad, regionally as well as in the international scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create financial models, analysing financial statements and preparing valuation analyses
• Evaluate investment opportunities including conducting relevant analyses, conduct desktop research, formulate business plans and develop investment proposals
• Conduct commercial due diligence on potential targets
• Prepare discussion materials and approval papers for potential investments
• Work with portfolio companies which includes engaging with company management, develop business strategy papers, conduct and review financial performance, etc.
• Monitor assigned portfolio companies, including periodic management calls, strategy steering, preparation of periodical reports on the portfolio company's performance and implement exit strategies

To succeed in this Private Equity Investment Analyst role, you will need to have at least two year's experience in private equity, management consultancy, corporate finance or investment analysis role within any financial services industry.

Key Requirements:

• Proven quantitative analytical skill to develop financial models and valuations with a deep understanding of investment analysis
• Good business acumen/understanding of businesses
• Logical approach to problem solving
• Ability to engage with senior management
• Strong attention to details on work provided
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines
• Team player with strong interpersonal skill and willingness to learn
