Project Release Manager (Banking)

What you'll do:

As a Project Release Manager in the banking sector, you'll play a pivotal role in handling project management and supporting production incidents and client complaints, ensuring effective incident resolution in collaboration with various stakeholders. You'll be responsible for performing Business As Usual (BAU) activities for product launches, which includes preparing procedural updates, setting up table/maintenance pages in the system, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parameter uploads, and handling exceptional cases. Your role will also involve liaising with business & IT teams for small change requests, UAT, and health checks upon release. You'll conduct UAT and regression testing pre- and post-production while managing live testing account registration and logistics for relevant product teams to conduct health checks upon system release. A key part of your role will be ensuring zero balance for these live testing accounts on a monthly basis as part of reconciliation and verification control. Additionally, you'll perform SRBP / GSOPS maintenance for half-day trades according to market announcements. Lastly, you'll prepare and update procedural changes as requested by business teams or regulations and arrange for rollout to frontline platforms.

  • Support production incidents and client complaints, implementing incident resolution agreed with multiple stakeholders.

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Project Release Manager role, you bring comprehensive knowledge of IT and Business Project Management. You have a deep understanding of regulatory compliance within the banking & financial services industry. Your educational background includes a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business/ finance or equivalent work experience. Your strong leadership and people management capabilities set you apart, along with your ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders. You are familiar with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet Explorer, with advanced Excel skills being an advantage. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team is commendable. You possess excellent coaching and motivational skills, which contribute to your commitment to continuous development, both personally and in others. Your strong interpersonal skills drive positive cooperation towards the achievement of team/department goals.
