* This role will be managing Credit Operations Asia Pacific markets (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong & Taiwan) and mainly will use English language, therefore other 3rd languages is an added advantage * Must have strong and direct experience in Credit Operation * Strong Leadership Experience (managing a team and stakeholder management) * Experience in handling more than 1 market (example Malaysia & Singapore)

What you'll do:

As a Manager, Credit Operations, you will be at the forefront of driving financial excellence. Your role involves managing a diverse team across Asia Pacific markets, ensuring that they deliver excellent operational performance. You will establish local Retail/Corporate/Dealer Credit policies that align with global rules and local regulations. Your leadership skills will be crucial in guiding your team towards achieving their Underwriting targets. Additionally, you will act as Deputy Credit Risk Manager when required, providing expert consultation on risk-related topics and best practices in underwriting.

  • Manage Credit Operations team across multiple markets to deliver excellent operational performance
  • Ensure risk-related practices & operations strictly follow global rule and local policies
  • Establish local Retail/Corporate/Dealer Credit policy in line with global credit rule, product rule and local regulation
  • Manage risk-related KPIs and adjust risk appetites to achieve company target
  • Provide leadership to the team to achieve Underwriting target
  • Act as Deputy Credit Risk Manager when required
  • Lead Underwriting team to execute high quality standards for each new credit application
  • Provide consultation to markets on risk related topics and best practices in underwriting

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Manager, Credit Operations role brings a wealth of experience in credit operations and people management. With a minimum of 7-10 years' direct experience in this field, you have extensive knowledge of credit systems and practices within a bank or financial institution. Your strong understanding of the hire purchase and credit/finance industry, coupled with your ability to analyse financial data and understand market lending guidelines, makes you a valuable asset. Your proficiency in MS Office software and excellent communication skills in English, with an added advantage if conversant in Cantonese/Mandarin and local dialects, will enable you to interact effectively at all levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years direct experience in credit operations and people management role
  • Extensive knowledge of credit systems and practices, operations in a bank or financial institution or shared services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the hire purchase and credit/finance industry, business operations, financial analysis, portfolio trends/behavior and lending guidelines of market
  • Good knowledge in Ms Office software like Word and Excel
  • Good spoken and written English. Added advantage: Conversant in Cantonese/Mandarin and local dialects
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (ability to interact with all levels)
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new culture and environment and to work with other departments
