About the Operations - Derivatives Operations (Japan Desk) Role:
In this role, you will support across the Corporate Investment Bank covering eight key product areas including FX, OTC Derivatives, Collateral Principal, 3rd Party Derivatives, Cleared Derivatives, Agency Collateral, Billing and CASS.

The functions of this team include confirmation matching and chasing, client service and break resolution, processing of FX/derivatives transactions which include confirmation with clients through internal systems, phone, or email, the maintenance of client and business reference data, supporting Front Office sales and Middle Office, inter-regional stakeholder management, process review and uplift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partnering closely with middle office and sales to ensure high levels of client service
• Ensuring all trades are correct and accurately matched in a timely and risk-free manner
• Ensuring all payments are processed correctly and settled within cut off times
• Ensure all controls and checks are completed by the end of day & day-to-day compliance with internal SLAs
• Establishing an excellent relationship with both internal and external clients

To succeed in this Operations - Derivatives Operations (Japan Desk) role, you will need to be able to speak and handle Japanese clients. You must also open and a strong readiness to learn.

Key Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent
• Both high-level strategic thinking and technical ability
• Experience of handling Japanese clients on a regular basis is a must; Japanese language skills is a prerequisite
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to multitask and cope in a high-pressure environment with time-critical deliveries whilst maintaining accuracy
