AM, Trade Finance

An exciting AM, Trade Finance job has just become available at a respected international bank based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a role for an operations and projects trade finance candidate who is a expert in their field.

About the AM, Trade Finance Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for effective day-to-day operations and administration of the trade operations department. You will also be part of trade finance-related projects and business. You will also be leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check and ensure all details and processes are done accurately and on time
• Ensure reports are prepared and delivered to branches on time
• Lead a team of country marketing directors, including training and appraisals
• Liaise with branches on day-to-day trade in-source operations
• Review and update the Operation Procedure Manual whenever there are any changes or at least to be reviewed yearly

To succeed in this AM, Trade Finance role, you must have good knowledge of trade documents requirements, Foreign Exchange Control (FEC), Bankers Acceptance Guideline, Export Credit, Refinancing Guideline and other trade-related guidelines.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar field
• Good knowledge of trade documents requirements, e.g. UCP600, ISBP, URR 725, URC522, Incoterms, Foreign Exchange Control (FEC), Bankers Acceptance Guideline, Export Credit, Refinancing Guideline and other trade related guidelines
• Good knowledge in statutory requirements and/or related rules as well as trade documents requirements
• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
