This role Head of Stockbroking offers an exciting opportunity to oversee day-to-day operations across all business units, provide strategic support to the CEO and Group Management, act as a legal representative, manage finances, lead talent management, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
What you'll do:
As the Head of Stockbroking, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's operations.
- Ensure smooth integration and alignment of operations between licensed/regulated entity and shared services entity.
- Implement and monitor effective operational processes, policies, and systems.
- Work closely with department heads and team leaders to ensure operational goals are met.
- Assist the CEO in setting and executing the company’s strategic plan.
- Act as a legal representative for the company in accordance with group management requirements.
- Work closely with the CEO and Head of Finance to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you are required to come with strong stockbroking operations experience.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Head of Stockbroking position, you bring a wealth of experience from your time spent in senior managerial roles within the capital markets and financial services industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Additional professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
- Minimum 5-8 years senior managerial experience in capital markets and financial services industry.
- Language proficiency in English, Malay and Chinese.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to drive operational excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets, financial services industry regulations, compliance requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
