About the Senior Equity Investment Manager Role:
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, you will be overseeing and managing a portfolio of equity investments, including stocks and unit trust funds, which involves analysing market trends, identifying investment opportunities, and making informed decisions to maximise returns while managing and minimising risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of companies, industries, and market trends to identify investment opportunities
• Develop and implement investment strategies to achieve financial objectives and deliver strong returns
• Monitor portfolio performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and make necessary adjustments to optimise results
• Monitor and analyse portfolio risk metrics to ensure risk exposure is within acceptable limits
• Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the portfolio against adverse market conditions
• Perform fundamental analysis on individual business sectors and companies, evaluating financial and non-financial numbers, industry dynamics, competitive positioning, growth prospects
• Utilise various valuation techniques to determine the intrinsic value of securities and identify undervalued or overvalued investments
• Stay updated with market news, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions
• Prepare/communicate investment strategies, performance updates, and market insights to Senior Management/Investment Committee/Board of Directors
• Collaborate and coordinate with other division, to ensure smooth execution of investment strategies and adherence to policy and regulations

To succeed in this role, you must have at least eight years of experience in managing equity funds.

Key Requirements:

• University or higher degree (preferably finance or economics)
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) is desirable
• Sound and developed investment analysis skill
• In-depth knowledge of equity markets, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors influencing investment decisions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences both verbal and written
• Familiarity with portfolio management software, data analysis tools, and financial research platforms
