Managing Director, Corporate Finance – Investment Banking

What you'll do:
The Managing Director, Corporate Finance will play a critical leadership role in driving and overseeing the execution of complex investment banking transactions, ensuring high-quality advisory delivery across mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic corporate finance mandates. This role requires deep transaction expertise, strong client advisory capabilities.

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Provide strategic financial advice to corporate clients, guiding them through transaction structuring, valuation considerations, and negotiation processes.
• Manage complex transaction processes including due diligence, financial modelling, valuation analysis, and preparation of transaction documentation.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional deal teams including legal advisors, accountants, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely deal execution.
• Review and provide oversight on financial models, valuation methodologies, information memoranda, and board materials prepared by the deal team.
• Act as the senior execution lead in negotiations and client discussions, ensuring transactions progress efficiently through key milestones.
• Maintain strong oversight of regulatory compliance, transaction governance, and risk management throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior bankers and execution teams, ensuring rigorous analytical standards and high-quality deliverables.
• Support the development of the firm’s corporate finance advisory capabilities and transaction pipeline through strong client engagement.

Key Requirements:
• Minimum 15–20 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or related advisory roles, with a strong track record in deal origination and execution.
• Proven experience advising on M&A, equity capital markets, and strategic corporate finance transactions.
• Established network of corporate clients, investors, and key stakeholders within the financial ecosystem.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing investment banking teams.
• Deep understanding of capital markets, regulatory frameworks, and the investment banking landscape in Malaysia and the region.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue growth and expand client relationships.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment in a dynamic deal environment.
