Private Equity Associate
Our client is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the investment process, from origination and screening to due diligence, valuation, deal execution, portfolio management, and exits.
What you'll do:
As a Private Equity Associate, your role will be integral to the entire investment process. You will create financial models, analyse financial statements, prepare valuation analyses and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Creating financial models, analysing financial statements and preparing valuation analyses
- Evaluating investment opportunities including conducting relevant analyses, desktop research, formulating business plans and developing investment proposals
- Conducting commercial due diligence on potential targets
- Preparing discussion materials and approval papers for potential investments
- Working with portfolio companies which includes engaging with company management, developing business strategy papers, conducting and reviewing financial performance
- Monitoring assigned portfolio companies, including periodic management calls, strategy steering, preparation of periodical reports on the portfolio companies’ performance and implementing exit strategies
- End-to-end process of private equity investment
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Private Equity Associate position is someone who brings proven quantitative analytical skills along with a deep understanding of investment analysis.
- Proven quantitative analytical skill to develop financial models and valuations with a deep understanding of investment analysis
- Good business acumen / understanding of businesses
- Logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to engage with senior management
- Strong attention to details on work provided
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines
- Team player with strong interpersonal skill and willingness to learn
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written in English. Ability to command in a 2nd or 3rd language is an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
