Associate Director, Mid Market Solutions

A challenging Associate Director, Mid Market Solutions job has just become available at a locally established regional financial institution to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Associate Director, Mid Market Solutions Role:
Sitting under the investment banking and advisory department, you will be responsible in identifying and initiating leads and potential deals for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate opportunities together with client coverage and product teams, jointly decide whether to pursue opportunities
• Initiate key strategy led discussion with clients
• Provide advice on issues and queries from clients, potential clients or other parties involved in the transaction
• Lead, guide and assist staff in understanding their individual scope of work to be undertaken in each assignment so that they would fully understand the tasks that they have been assigned to
• Monitor the progress of deal and to ensure appropriate actions are executed when and where required
• Undertake final review and confirmation of all documents produced by team members
• Build new and strengthen existing relationships and rapport with clients and other parties such as third-party advisers and regulatory bodies
• Review and analyse issues and resolving them in consultation with head of department

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in corporate finance advisory and restructuring work.

Key Requirements:

• A recognised degree in accounting, finance, business admin, economics or any relevant degree from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualifications
• Strategic thinking and able to lead through vision
• Excellent analytical skills, numerical and attention to detail
• Highly proactive in keeping abreast with the latest economic and client industry trend, regulatory guidelines and requirements
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with people at all levels
