Finance Partner – Risk, CEO Office & CA (1 Year Contract)

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Finance Partner to join their team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting the Risk, CEO Office, and Corporate Affairs functions. You will be at the heart of decision-making, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver insightful analysis, robust governance, and disciplined cost management.

Your role will involve :

  • Serve as the finance subject matter expert for Group Risk, CEO Office, and Corporate Affairs by providing comprehensive financial modelling, budgeting guidance, and analytical support tailored to each function’s needs.
  • Engage in business partnering with senior stakeholders to offer strategic financial advice that supports informed decision-making across multiple business units.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports that deliver clear insights into performance metrics relevant to Risk, CEO Office, and Corporate Affairs functions.
  • Own the monthly performance reporting process for these areas by analysing variances, run-rate trends, outlooks, staff costs, and non-staff expenditures.
  • Collaborate with Group Risk teams on regulatory compliance programmes and operational risk tooling initiatives by ensuring robust investment cases are developed and benefits are tracked effectively.
  • Support the CEO Office in managing executive operations and strategic programmes such as Board support or enterprise-wide initiatives through disciplined financial governance.
  • Partner with Corporate Affairs on communications campaigns, brand initiatives, sponsorships, external engagement activities; design funding models and track return on investment for major projects.
  • Lead annual budgeting cycles as well as quarterly forecasting exercises while coordinating headcount planning and optimising non-staff costs across all supported functions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to financial compliance requirements by strengthening controls around procurement processes, contract management practices, intercompany recharge models; maintain auditable documentation at all times.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes by developing standardised dashboards for stakeholders; automate repeatable analyses; embed best practices across teams; provide ad hoc strategic analysis for executive committee members.


Your background should include :

  • Demonstrated experience in finance business partnering within large organisations or matrix environments where collaboration with multiple stakeholders is essential.
  • Proven ability to deliver detailed financial modelling alongside budgeting guidance tailored for executive-level decision making.
  • Strong background in preparing monthly performance reports that highlight key metrics relevant to risk management or corporate affairs functions.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance programmes or operational risk initiatives through robust investment case development and benefit tracking methodologies.
  • Track record of providing disciplined financial governance for executive operations or board-level strategic programmes within complex organisations.
  • Ability to design funding models for communications campaigns or brand initiatives while tracking ROI against major project milestones.
  • Expertise leading annual budgeting cycles as well as quarterly forecasting exercises including headcount planning optimisation strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial compliance requirements including procurement controls contract management practices intercompany recharge models audit documentation standards.
  • Skilled at driving process improvement through development of standardised dashboards automation of repeatable analyses embedding best practices across teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly empathetically collaboratively among diverse stakeholder groups.
