The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of the business, from preparing and updating documentation to assisting with enquiries and requests from both internal and external parties. This role requires a meticulous individual who can ensure compliance with BNM Guidelines, and Company Policy.
What you'll do:
As an Underwriting Specialist in Reinsurance, your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for coordinating between various stakeholders, including RI Brokers, Reinsurers, and Underwriters. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to use as you assist in preparing and updating reinsurance documentation. You will also be expected to respond promptly to enquiries or requests from both internal and external parties. Compliance is key in this role; you will need to ensure adherence to BNM Guidelines and Company Policy. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial when assessing RI Inward business offered in line with underwriting tools.
- Coordinate between RI Brokers and/or Reinsurers and Underwriters on Reinsurance related matters.
- Assist in preparation and updating reinsurance documentation.
- Respond to enquiries/requests received from internal and external parties.
- Ensure compliance with BNM Guidelines, Company Policy, etc.
- Assess RI Inward business offered in line with treaty facilities and underwriting tools.
- Follow up on reinsurance closing and payment diligently for inwards reinsurance business.
- Ensure Facultative RI entries are correctly and promptly entered into the company’s in-house system.
- Ensure all placements are completely ceded to qualified reinsurers within the required time frame to protect the company retention.
- Send renewal advice
- Liaise closely with Technical, Underwriting and Marketing/Broking department on the placement of risks and issuance of the policies.
