An exciting Investment Business Management Consultant job has just become available at one of the most respected global insurance firms based in Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Associate Director.
About the Investment Business Management Consultant Role: In this business critical role you will be responsible for investment-related reporting and investment’s annual investment income budgeting exercise. You will also support the Associate Director, in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the middle office unit in supporting the management of the company’s investment assets.
Be responsible for investment-related reporting such as, but not limited to, the preparation of investment dashboards, monthly fund performance updates, investment-linked fund annual reports, and fund fact sheets
Assist in the preparation of periodic reports for submission to regulators
Assist in the preparation of risk reports
Coordinate with and manage other stakeholders such as group investment pertaining to reporting requirements
Be responsible for ad hoc investment-related data needs/requests from internal and external stakeholders
Undertake and drive ad hoc projects/initiatives as required
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports as per local reporting requirements
Prepare various presentation decks for CIO for purposes of presenting at EXCO, RCE and other management/strategic meetings
Prepare various reports supporting the real estate investment and mortgage department
Prepare investment’s annual investment income budget
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of data and the monitoring/tracking of investment income, long-term operating profit after tax (“LTOPAT”) and GOE on a monthly basis
Ensure adherence to operating guidelines, processes and procedures
Report any breach/deviation with explanation on root cause of breach/deviation and remediation plans
Ensure an audit trail is available for compliance and audit check
To succeed in this Investment Business Management Consultant job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics and Mathematics disciplines. Professional certificates such as CFA, FRM, and CPA are an advantage
At least five years’ experience in investment related functions within the insurance industry, asset management companies or banks
Good knowledge of investment performance and risk analytics calculation, and their implications on the business
Good understanding of and practical experience in quantitative finance
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and BLOOMBERG AIMs
Project management skills
Process-driven with structural approach
Ability to coordinate with and manage various stakeholders
