About the Strategy & Business Planning, Principal Role: In this business critical role you will be a business partner in supporting and providing guidance to other departments in strategy formulation, implementation, and tracking; whilst keeping abreast with industry developments and channelling this critical information to senior management to drive the business. This position also supports the company’s performance management especially in delivering timely and accurate insights of business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a business partner to actively participate and provide challenge in the department’s strategy formulation, implementation and tracking of long-term strategies and short-term initiatives
Facilitate the timely preparation of the annual business plan and budget process across the business units in the organisation, aligning to overall organisation’s strategies
Engage respective partners, influence and assist the development of operational strategy implementation and appropriate dashboards to track key performance indicators
Facilitate organisational business reviews to evaluate performance, monitor progress as well as gathering learnings/ insights. This includes assisting in preparing information for management report, daily sales report, etc.
Influence and engage in business development activities to achieve performance objectives and targets
Provide ad hoc project support for corporate-level management reporting
Review business’s submitted business case and constantly follow up on the projects to find out on the progress
Ensure preparation of Post-implementation Report after completion of the project or initiatives
Conduct tracking of the responsible department’s strategy performance and implementation, e.g. verification of benefit delivery after go-live
Provide up-to-date business insights for decision making
Build quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders
To succeed in this Strategy & Business Planning, Principal job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
Education – Degree in Finance/Business/Actuarial Science
Experience – 10 of more years of work experience
Special skills – Highly numerate, diligent, resourceful and independent, able to multitask and prioritise. Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to navigate and maintain strong working relationships with other stakeholders
