An exciting Finance Specialist job has just become available at one of the most respected global insurance firms based in Kuala Lumpur.
About the Finance Specialist Role: In this business critical role you will be responsible for the intercompany closing by ensuring intercompany billing and invoices being processed and captured in accounting system accurately on a timely monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the intercompany closing by ensuring intercompany billing and invoices being processed and captured in accounting system accurately and timely on monthly basis
Prepare intercompany reports and perform analytical review and analysis on intercompany transactions and balances against approved budget and comparable periods
Coordinate, develop and prepare monthly/quarterly management reports for presentation to senior management and board
Follow up on an intercompany level regarding the settlement and perform intercompany settlement on timely basis
Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to resolve intercompany reconciling items within month-end reporting timelines
Drive continuous process improvement opportunities and implements related automation within the intercompany process
Support external audit by ensuring timely and quality delivery of items requested by the external auditors
Provide support on ad hoc requests/analysis/UAT from management and other stakeholders
To succeed in this Finance Specialist job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with Finance or Accountancy qualifications
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience. Intercompany experience is preferred
Experience working in financial services/insurance is an added advantage
Computer literate and good proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SAP is an advantage
Ability to work independently and possesses good problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively interface with various stakeholders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
