An exciting Senior Accountant job has opened up in a digital bank.

About the Senior Accountant Role:
In this vital role for the business, you will primarily be responsible for the GL and AP functions within the digital bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing including preparation of the financial reporting package, posting manual journals for payroll, lease, accrual and etc.
• Prepare and provide accounting schedules
• Maintain of Fixed assets and intangible asset register
• Prepare various tax returns, e.g. SST, WHT and CIT filing
• Assist in the preparation of financial statement
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements
• Proactively participate and support continuous improvements on work processes
• Perform other related ad hoc duties as assigned
• Accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices
• Timely processing of staff expense claims
• Timely processing of vendor payments
• Perform other related ad hoc duties as assigned

To succeed in this Senior Accountant role, you will need to be committed to ongoing professional development and staying informed about industry best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or MICPA, ACCA, CPA or its equivalent
• Five to seven years' working experience in accounting related field, Big 4 accounting firm experience or banking experience preferred but not a must
• Strong people management, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people across different cultures
• Positive and result-driven. Good sense of logic and analytical thinking. A team player with good organisation skill and an eye for accuracy and detail
• Solid accounting knowledge as well as local tax/audit regulation. Hands-on/relevant working experience in a finance operating environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good command in English, both written and oral
• Flexible and bright personality, open to commit in a dynamic environment
