About the Asset, Liability and Capital Management Manager Role: In this vital role for the business, you will be responsible for management of liquidity and funding risk, in particular reporting and monitoring compliance internal/regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support stress testing processes
Liaise with GFC, ASP ALCM and other stakeholders in a timely manner
Understand and implement guidelines from BNM, Group, PRA and HKMA, etc.
Support ALCO in ALM matters and promote awareness of balance sheet and risk issues
Support ALCM-related system implementations
Provide advice and support to MYH business/functions on matters relating to ALCM
Perform comprehensive investigation in support of ALCO/ASP ALCM queries
Work independently and ensure reviews are performed for accuracy and comprehensiveness
Research options to resolve problems and present to line manager/stakeholders for decision making
Collaborate effectively with other teams in Finance to generate desired deliverables
Provide regular updates to management regarding ALCM issues
To succeed in this Asset, Liability and Capital Management Manager role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to assess risk trends, both internally and externally.
Key Requirements:
An undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or a related business discipline
Minimum of two to five years of relevant work experience; experience in assets, liability and capital management (ALCM) is an advantage
Understands and anticipates strategic implications from regulatory requirements and statutory legislation
Keeps abreast of latest finance and regulatory requirements and anticipative of impacts to the bank
Ability to form effective relationships and influence without authority
Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business
Ability to make robust/tough decisions which may be contrary to the business wishes and ability to prioritise competing demands
Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation needed will be prioritised
