About the SOX Manager Role:
In this vital role for the business, you will be in liaison with both process owners in finance and with SOX coordinators in country business and function teams, ensure end-to-end documentation of SOX in scope processes are updated, validated and compliant to COSO principles. This will include offshoring activities, where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality control on overall SOX process level documentation (including alignment to group documentation standards) and sign-off to facilitate certification by the CEO and CFO
• Support Risk Steward (Country CFO) for financial reporting risk; including but not limited to monitoring of controls, risk map reporting, look across exercise, attendance at country Finance risk and control forum, country representation at regional risk steward oversight meeting and perform review and challenge on finance risk and controls assessment
• Conduct walkthrough/desktop reviews and assurance testing of SOX in scope processes (as per FIM guidelines) to assess the design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls
• Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which one is involved, specifically internal controls and any compliance policy including group compliance policy
• Support the board and management committees through preparation of reports and papers on SOX updates, in a timely and accurate manner (e.g. newly in-scoped process and SOX exceptions)
• Manage deficiencies to ensure completeness of recording in Helios system on a timely basis, performing deficiency aggregation, and follow up with stakeholders on remedial actions to ensure timely closure of action plans
• Provide the necessary support on finance matters in line with performance level agreement (PLA) as set out with other Malaysian entities

Key Requirements:

• Degree qualification is preferred. Possesses two to three years of related knowledge in audit, controls and SOX experience
• Strong analytical and structured thinking
• Able to communicate and interact well with all levels
• Able to drive change and challenge the status quo
• Good negotiation and influencing skills
