Associate, Financial Control

An exciting Associate, Financial Control job has just become available at a leading regional financial services institution based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Associate, Financial Control Role:
In this business critical role, you will represent the financial control function in local and regional strategic project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for month-end closing processes in compliance with both local and group standards (IFRS and USGAAP)
• Prepare monthly and quarterly statistical and taxation reporting
• Contribute to the annual audit processes
• Maintain and improve the overall control and governance framework
• Prepare monthly MIS reporting papers for senior management team

To be successful in this Associate, Financial Control role, you will need to have excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualifications in a relevant discipline (accounting/finance)
• Minimum of four years' work experience, preferably within the financial services industry
• Experience in Big 4 audit firms is an advantage
• Regional exposure is a plus
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under tight deadlines
