Financial Control Executive

An exciting Financial Control Executive job has just become available at a respected financial services institution based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for monthly full sets of accounts and assist in annual audit accounts and corporate tax reporting.

About the Financial Control Executive Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for maintenance of credit control, accounting records, ledgers and journals for all of the group's companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial budgets, cash flow and profit forecasts
• Prepare monthly financial statements which include balance sheet, verification of general ledgers and bank reconciliation
• Liaise with external parties e.g. banker, auditor, tax agents, lawyer, company secretary and relevant authorities
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop structured finance solutions for customers
• Analyse current and past financial data from SQL system
• Evaluate current capital expenditures and amortisations
• Develop and monitor credit control system in collaboration with related departments
• Maintain loan records, conduct regular analysis of credit control system and implement changes as needed
• Report any payment issues to management or the appropriate team
• Manage company's accounts receivable
• Accounts receivable movement and debts cash flow forecasting
• Coordinate and develop company’s financial planning

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to perform financial modelling and able to structure cost distribution.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or relevant disciplines
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA is an advantage
• Minimum of five years of work experience, preferably in credit analysis and evaluation
• Knowledge of shares, debentures and financial instrument market is a plus
• Proficient in financial analysis and cash flow projections
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong strategical thinking skills
