Finance Manager, Asset Management

An exciting Finance Manager, Asset Management job has become available at one of the financial institutions based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Director, this is a role for candidates looking to take up a challenge and a stepping stone into the fund management industry.

About the Finance Manager, Asset Management Role:
This role assists in the preparation of financial statements, annual reports, and tax filing for funds and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accounts and records of investment projects. Provide support for in settlement, valuation and any ad hoc matters
• Liaise internally and externally to ensure compliance in tax, accounting and financial matters
• Work on operations, valuation & accounting works for investments of the funds and management company, including:
  
  • Liaise with banks, custodians and brokers
  • Prepare return analysis and investment reports

To succeed in this Finance Manager, Asset Management role, you will need experience in external audit.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Qualified accountant with five or more years of work experience, preferably in fund management or investment companies
• Strong accounting skills and audit experience
• Good written and spoken English. Working knowledge in a Southeast Asian language is a plus
• Proficient in excel and knowledge in VBA, Python, Javascript and/or SQL is a plus
• Proactive, independent and capable to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
