Head of Strategic Investments

Our client is seeking a Head of Strategic Investments to lead their dynamic team.

What you'll do:

As Head of Strategic Investments, you will be responsible for leading both direct and indirect investments.

• Establish financial targets for each investment and the Fund(s)
• Maximize investment value through active participation
• Provide a comprehensive investment thesis for the approving authority with clear targets, value creation, and exit plans
• Identify and propose potential partnerships or acquisitions
• Collaborate with partners to deploy capital in the most efficient way aligned to our strategic mandate
• Build strategic targets and value creation for investee companies
• Work closely with owners to reach the objective of the investment
• Attend board and exco meetings of the investee companies
• Comply with internal and external compliance regulations

To succeed in this role, you are required to possess experience in corporate finance, strategic investments with strategic mindset.

What you bring:

As Head of Strategic Investments, you bring a wealth of experience from the financial industry, specifically in investment and strategy.

• Minimum 10 years in the financial industry
• Experience in investment and strategy would be an added advantage
• Existing business network
• Previous experience leading a team
• Ability to balance between big picture and micro issues
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly
• Ability to identify issues within an industry and company
• Ability to find deals and build a network
• Ability to work with owners and entrepreneurs
