Regulatory Reporting

About the role This role is responsible for preparing and submitting accurate regulatory reports to authorities such as BNM, Bursa Malaysia, and the Securities Commission. You will ensure compliance with all reporting standards, monitor key financial and risk indicators, and support the bank’s transparency and governance requirements while meeting strict regulatory deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation and timely submission of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) statistical reports via Statsmart and ESSDSS portal including Basel, CashBOP and EAL.
• Responsible for preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports to Securities Commission (SC) and Bursa Malaysia.
• Liaise with stakeholders from different departments to acquire data sources for reporting and disseminate the current and new requirements.
• Review and provide feedback on new/revised reporting requirements from the regulators (e.g. BNM, SC and Bursa).
• Attend queries or surveys from regulators in an opportune manner.
• Prepare and review the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) of various regulatory reports to ensure it is always up-to-date.
• Work closely with other departments such as the Compliance team to clarify on existing/new BNM reporting requirements.
• Assist in the periodical compliance and/or audit review to prepare supporting documents and provide timely response to the queries.
• Process improvements on existing report preparations and integrating the changes into data warehouse project.
• Responsible for any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, any professional qualification with established professional accounting bodies or other equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant financial/ regulatory reporting experience.
• Good knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements i.e. policy documents and guidelines.
• Good knowledge of financial institutions practices.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and good data analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and SQL.
• Able to work under tight deadlines, take ownership of tasks and pursue closure
