About the Cash Management Product Manager Role:

You will lead the project of Products/Services Development or Enhancement for Transaction Banking (“TB”) business, mainly Cash Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the initial survey in order to identify the challenges and/or issues for Customer and/or the Bank in Malaysia ("the Bank") should be solved by products/services Development or Enhancement.
  • Gather the latest market information related to TB products/services such as any advanced, sophisticated products/services offered by the competitor banks.
  • Gather the information of the advanced, successful examples in other branches from Global Transaction Banking Department ("GTBD") and/or other branches in order to materialize it in the Bank.
  • Conduct the impact analysis and feasibility study, propose the priority of possible project and obtain buy-in from respective stakeholders.
  • Initiate the project and manage its progress, following the project timeline until the project is concluded. Find the available and feasible solution and propose it to respective stakeholders when the project encounters its bottleneck.
  • Face the local authority including BNM and Paynet together with Compliance and the other departments, and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements with regard to TB products/services are adhered.
  • Explain to and negotiate with the relevant regulatory authorities as well as other professional service provider such as counsel, accountant, consultant and so on when required.
  • Get involved in the preparation of the Business Requirement Documents, Test plan including test schedule and test scenario and so on to ensure all the required scoepes are covered. Participate in the Test including coordination, testing, document sign-off and post implementation activities.
  • Liaise and consult with stakeholders with regard to the application for approval of new/enhanced products/services in the Financial Group and the relevant regulatory authority in relation to New Product approval and/or notification.
  • Obtain the necessary approval to launch the new/enhanced products/services from the Bank, the Parent bank and the regulatory authority through New Product Committee process.
  • Prepare, coordinate and circulate all the required documents for new products or services including internal operational procedure including workflow, customer agreement, customer application, customer user guide and so on.
  • Train and educate the respective stakeholders for the new/enhanced product/services.
  • Collaborate with TB Sales team and other relevant internal stakeholders such as Corporate Banking, IT, Operation, GTBD in the Bank to develop/enhance TB Products/ Services.
  • Ensure operational control in place (documented process & control) for the new & existing products/services related to TB business.
  • Address the inquiries relevant to TB Products/Services from internal stakeholder in the Bank.
  • Assist Customer Support team to address customer's enquiry on the transaction invovled with TB Products/Services when required.

To succeed in this Cash Management Product Manager role, it is important to have working knowledge of Transaction Banking.

Roles of Team Head

  • Lead the Product Development team to achieve team goal in line with department goal, the Bank goal and GTBD APAC goal.
  • Communicate with stakeholders such as Head of Transaction Banking, TB Sales, Customer Support and the other departments and identify the points of TB products/services to be improved proactively.
  • Assist the team member to overcome the challenges.
  • Consolidate activities of each team member and report to Department Head and Management.

Qualification

  • 7 years and above working experience of the relevant cash management in various industries.
  • Product Development and/or Project Management experience with strong working knowledge of banking operation, IT system, local authority and its regulation.
  • Capability for problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to thrive while managing multiple workstreams and projects.
  • Capability to command a high degree of creditability with stakeholders inside and outside the Bank.
  • Managerial experience
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
