An exciting Vice President, Internal Audit job has just become available in a multinational bank based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a role for an auditor who is looking for an exciting opportunity to be a part of the changing landscape in the financial services industry.

About the Vice President, Internal Audit Role:
In this business critical role, you will need to fulfil local regulatory requirements to have internal audit presence based onshore to manage the internal audit activities of the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the assignment/review in accordance with the organisation guidelines and established internal communication protocol to facilitate business and support activities in a risk-controlled environment
• Oversee and coordinate work performed to ensure optimal resource allocation and efficient completion of mission
• Review work done by audit team to ensure that the work scope objectives are achieved
• Assist in the planning of the assignment – preparing the methodology, collating raw data, obtaining past recommendations, preparatory meetings with auditees
• Assess the effectiveness of the governance, risk management and internal control systems and processes and assess the awareness and responsiveness of the management
• Validate the implementation of recommendations and maintain audit trail of correspondences with auditees in respect of all implementations
• Regularly communicate with and keep team members posted on significant events in relation to financing activities, functions and regulatory requirements within the base location

To succeed in the Vice President, Internal Audit job, you will need to adapt quickly to evolving situation of the businesses audited in order to adjust methodologies and scope to ensure adequate coverage of the organisation objective.

Key Requirements:

• More than 10 years of work experience in auditing banking/financial institutional
• An articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing
• Able to prepare high quality written audit issues and reports, as well as be able to objectively summarise and draw out key themes and risks for management attention
• Ability to handle data and draw out business insights from data is a strong plus
• Self-motivated and able to function independently as well as should have a collaborative approach and be a team player
• Accounting/audit qualifications is strongly preferred (e.g. ACA, ACCA, IIA)
