About the AVP, Financial Reporting (Banking) Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for the bank’s financial practices such as financial reporting/analysis, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and ensure timely closing for the bank’s financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Assist in preparation of amalgamation entries for the purposes of amalgamation processes on monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting closing in a timely manner
• Assist in preparation and review of financial reporting analysis by detailed financial information and business segments for the bank and group via engagement with various departments
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and updating key financial ratios for reporting purposes
• Assist to prepare and review submission of papers to senior management, various boards and/ or steering committee relating to financial reporting and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with auditors (external and internal) and regulators relating to matters related to financial reporting and information of the bank and group
• Assist in the analysis of issues, variances and financial statements of key subsidiaries and associates for group consolidation purposes

To succeed in the AVP, Financial Reporting job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
• Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA, ICEAW, MICPA, or equivalent) is a must
• Strong analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to continuous improvement
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a thorough understanding of financial statements and accounting standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively with senior management and other cross-functional teams
