An interesting Vice President, Recovery job has become available at one of the financial institutions based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Vice President, Recovery Role:
In this role, you will take the lead in formulating and devising the most optimal and efficient strategy for resolving all SME, Commercial and Corporate Loans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing an effective approach to rehabilitate distressed accounts through Restructure and Reschedule (R&R) and/or legal methods to optimise recovery outcomes
• Engaging in negotiations with defaulters to identify the best options for expedited recovery
• Thoroughly analysing and evaluating settlement proposals prior to their submission for approval
• Closely monitoring and supervising all approved R&R cases, ensuring strict adherence to key terms and conditions and timely completion within the approved timeline, resulting in complete account settlement
• Establishing effective and timely communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, borrowers, and service agents such as white knights, solicitors, receivers and managers, private liquidators, etc., with the goal of achieving maximum recovery
• Assisting the Head of Department (HOD) in providing opportunities for staff career development and enhancing the operational level of recovery through on-the-job exposure and educational initiatives focused on understanding debt recovery management and strategic turnaround processes

To succeed in this role, you are required to possess experience in managing a recovery team and possess in-depth knowledge of corporate banking.

Key Requirements:

• At least 15 years of work experience preferably in the banking industry with at least five years in debt recovery
• Strong leadership and ability to manage stakeholders
• Strong critical thinking abilities and excellent problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Excellent time management and ability to perform in a deadline-based environment
• Strong and effective team player and practise team cohesion to work towards a common goal
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
