About the AVP/TL, Finance, Finance & Operations, Group Islamic Banking Role: In this business critical role you will be responsible for the bank’s financial practices such as accounting, budgets, financial reporting/analysis, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Be accountable for the bank’s financial practices such as accounting, budgets, financial reporting/analysis, etc.
Provide leadership on the overall strategy and guide the bank towards achieving its vision and mission
Support the financial strategy, planning and forecasts for the bank
Drive meaningful analysis, reporting on highlights and lowlights, and detailed presentations for management, internal and external stakeholders
Produce and review Financial Performance Business Analysis Report and Financial Performance Liquidity Report on monthly basis for business and management use
Develop and formulate effective cost management tools
Support balance sheet management and business planning team to drive the formulation and development of the strategic planning, budgeting/forecasting exercises across the sector
To succeed in the AVP/TL, Finance, Finance & Operations, Group Islamic Banking job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
More than seven years of work experience
Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA, ICEAW, MICPA, or equivalent) is a must
Strong analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to continuous improvement
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a thorough understanding of financial statements and accounting standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
Ability to work effectively with senior management and other cross-functional teams
Ability to provide guidance and support to the Head of Finance on financial reporting matters
