An exciting AVP, Regulatory Reporting job has just become available at one of the most respected banking firms based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the VP, Basel Reporting, this is a role for an individual who is a leader in their field.

About the AVP, Regulatory Reporting Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for leading and handling all Basel reporting matters for the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and handle all Basel reporting matters for the bank
• Prepare and review Basel reports in accordance to BNM guidelines and internal policy for team lead to review and approved
• Streamline process and develop SOP with Technical Interpretation for all Basel Reporting
• Improve knowledge and keep abreast with latest development on technical matters with regards to Basel Reporting
• Implement and lead Basel reporting related projects
• Coordinate with relevant departments to respond to internal/external queries pertaining to Basel Reports proactively
• Support new product rollout in terms of Basel requirements
• Reduce audit findings, compliance with SREF governance and processes
• Review control checklist on important risk data fields used for Basel reporting
• Review and ensure reconciliation of work stream data to the General Ledger and other definitive sources

To succeed in the AVP, Regulatory Reporting job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with relevant departments to respond to internal/external queries pertaining to Basel Reports proactively.

Key Requirements:

• Recognised diploma or degree in accounting qualification or equivalent
• More than five years of work experience
• Technical knowledge of BNM/BCBS Prudential Framework
• SQL, technical and functional designs for databases, ETL, data warehousing, and reporting
• Knowledge of SAP financial modules
• Good interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Computer literate with good spreadsheet skills, particularly MS. Excel
• Able to work independently able to multitask and work independently with minimum supervision
