Senior Manager, Financial Reporting Management

An exciting Senior Manager, Financial Reporting Management job has just become available at one of the most respected global banking firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Deputy Director, this is a role for a Senior Manager who is a leader in their field.

About the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting Management Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of financial reporting, taxation management and accounting standard of the bank. You will also provide financial information to the Board of Directors and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in establishing, maintaining and supervising the accounting functions of the Bank and to ensure that all related activities, work procedures comply with the bank’s guidelines, relevant legal and statutory requirements as well as ethical standards
• Oversee the preparation and submission of the returns to various statutory and regulatory authorities (including BOCL and BOCHK) and to provide financial information and reports to the Board of Directors and Senior Management
• Analyse and interpret financial data to provide the Management with the relevant information for decision-making
• Prepare the financial reports for the bank in accordance to the internal and external policies as well as the bank’s objective, and assist in implement budgetary control
• Ensure a high standard of integrity, accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables
• Review daily TB to ensure the accurate of the daily TB for the use by other team reporting
• Review subsidiary financial reporting related matters to ensure comply with internal policies and accounting standard
• Maintain regular contact with the legal advisers, auditors, tax agents, bankers, and governing authorities (e.g. BNM, ABM, RMC, Maybank, etc.) to facilitate provision of relevant advice or information
• Assist in managing human resource within the team, e.g. establishing staffing requirement, job specification, job description, performance appraisal standard, job assignment and rotation, continuous coaching, training and counselling of staff

To succeed in the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting Management job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• At least a bachelor's degree/postgraduate diploma in Accounting
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with 8 - 10 years' working experience in a related field is required for this position, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm or financial institution
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
• Proactive, independent, energetic, meticulous, and capable of working under pressure
