Wholesale Banking Relationship Manager

A well-established and dynamic foreign bank is looking for a high-calibre individual for a Wholesale Banking Relationship Manager job based in Kuala Lumpur to drive the business of the bank.

About the Wholesale Banking Relationship Manager Role:
The Wholesale Banking Relationship Manager manages the bank’s corporate clients with the objective of acquiring new accounts to broaden client base in the specified target market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and develop business relationship with new clients
• Understand clients’ financing requirements, perform detailed analysis and evaluation, structure detailed financing terms and ensure credit papers produced are of high quality
• Recommend proposal and/or detailed terms sheet for pitching and negotiation with clients
• Identify business opportunities and cross sell products as Business Origination
• Understand clients’ business plans and strategies forward, and be familiar with clients’ organisation structure, key management and decision-making process
• Account for detailed account planning by analysing and evaluating product applications/relevance to client’s business plans/requirements
• Act as one-stop contact point for clients’ relationship management
• Collaboration with product partner and co-operate closely with Product Partners in advising clients, taking into account inter-alia business strategies, corporate culture, and/or constraints/ limitations of the corporate clients and their shareholders
• To meet or exceed financial target and the revenue budget allocated for the team, department and sector as a whole

To succeed in this Wholesale Banking Relationship Manager role, you will need at least three years of in-depth corporate banking experience.

Key Requirements:

• Strong accounting/financial analytical and credit evaluation skills, financial modelling and business writing /presentation skills and good understanding of the corporate banking products suite offered
• Results-oriented individual, resourceful and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities
• Good understanding of the market and the target segments the business focuses on
