Manager, Regulatory Compliance

An exciting Manager, Regulatory Compliance role has just become available at one of the financial services companies based in Kuala Lumpur. You'll be at the forefront of developing and executing compliance strategies, staying ahead of regulatory changes, and leading audits to mitigate risks.

As an Manager, Regulatory Compliance, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to the Senior Manager and Head of the Compliance Department in compliance matters of the Bank including liaising with Head Office and Local Authorities.

What you'll do:

• Assist the identification of Regulatory Compliance risks and carry out timely follow up on the actions required by the relevant stakeholders.
• Keeps abreast of the establishment, revision and abolishment of relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare compliance reports to Management/Regional/Head Office/RMC/BRMC/Board.
• Assist in the establishment or revision of compliance policy and procedures under the supervision of the Senior Manager.
• Provide support to establish/review/revise Compliance related manual as well as other relevant policies and procedures.
• Assist by making reference to the Senior Manager by providing regulatory advisory to the relevant departments not limited but inclusive of entertainment and gift applications.
• Liaise with the regulators including Bank Negara Malaysia and Labuan Financial Services Authority for compliance matters including mandatory reporting, inspections and meetings, under the guidance of the Senior Manager or Head of Department.
• Preparation of training materials, provide guidance and training whenever necessary to create compliance awareness and establish a clear understanding of regulations and rules.

What you'll bring:

The ideal candidate for this Manager, Regulatory Compliance position brings a blend of skills and personality that make them uniquely qualified.

• Relevant Degree and Certification in Regulatory Compliance.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experiences in compliance matters for Financial Institutions.
• Strong grasp of compliance of a Financial Institutions.
• Well-versed in laws and guidelines of local authority.
• Possess good personality and communication skills in managing the stakeholders.
