About the Deputy Manager, Compliance Review Role:
In this business critical role, you will need to assist the Head of Department and Review Team Manager to carry out assessment, planning the review, carrying out quality review in mitigating the regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop review plans in line with the Global/Regional Procedures and meeting the local regulatory requirements
• Carry out proper planning in conducting the compliance review and execute the review in a diligent and timely manner
• Execute additional review whenever required or requested, particularly in the areas of AML/CFT to provide assurance that internal requirements/processes are being complied with
• Participate in the annual risk assessment exercise as part of the effort in establishing the annual review plan.
• Ensure proper documentation of compliance review including scoping consideration, testing workpapers and conclusions
• Provide timely reporting of the review results to the local management, Risk Committees and Head Office; whenever applicable
• Provide support to the Manager of Review Team in maintaining an updated Review Procedures, and carry out the review of sampling methodology as and when required
• Produce quality review reports

To succeed in this Deputy Manager, Compliance Review role, you will need to communicate and follow up with the relevant stakeholders on the recommendations till the completion of action plans.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting and any other equivalent qualifications
• Advanced Certification in Anti-Money Laundering/ Counter Financing of Terrorism or Regulatory Compliance is an advantage
• Seven years of work experience in the handling of either Basel related reporting, credit, or treasury related guidelines
• Relevant experience in the field of IT to facilitate the review in the areas of Paynet, Cybersecurity, Business Continuity Management, etc.
• Well versed in local Laws and Regulations, as well as BNM Guideline, which may inclusive of AML/Sanctions
• Innovative mindset, positive attitude, constantly strive for changes and improvement for the smooth and efficient operations of the team
• Good communications skills in managing the team and stakeholders
• Good presentation skills
• Problem solving abilities
• Candidates with an audit background/Shariah Reviewer can be considered
